How do we select our staff...

All of our Home Carers are carefully interviewed and screened before becoming employees.

If sucessful in the interview process each of our Home Carers are then directly employed by Runway HomeCare and are covered under Public & Employers Liability Insurance

Runway HomeCare complete a Security Check on all of our Home Carers through the Garda Central Vetting Unit

All new staff will have 3 references obtained, and it only on completion of all steps of our recruitment process including Garda Vetting that we will allow anyone to begin working with us.

 

  Minimum Requirements

  •  Recognised Home Care or Health Care Qualification
  •  Experience in Home Care or Health Care Industry
  •  Current Patient Moving & Handling Certificate
  •  Proof of Immunisation against Hep-B

 

Screening Process

  •   Interview with Candidate
  •   Completion of application documentation
  •   Compile all required documentation
  •   Induction process
  •   In-House Training
  •   Photo I.D.

Runway HomeCare Training

All staff members with Runway HomeCare undergo the following training:
  • Runway HomeCare Policies and Procedures
  • HomeCare Skills
  • Prevention & Recognition of Elder Abuse
  • Child Protection
  • Infection Control
  • Food Hygiene
  • Basic First Aid
In addition to their training, all Runway HomeCare staff receive the full support of our Nurse Managed team, with regular reviews and appraisals along with training and development updates.
