Through the use of our telephone based monitoring system Runway HomeCare can constantly ensure that our Carers are in the right location at the right time. Using a special Freephone number, each carer or homecare nurse, logs into our computerised system on arrival with the client. When the visit has been completed, the staff member uses the same number to log out. There is no charge to the client for this system and it takes aprroximately 20 seconds to complete. We feel this gives you that additional Peace of Mind knowing that no visit will be left uncovered and that we are constantly monitoring the situation.
If the correct call is not made from the right location or at the right time an alarm is raised from our computer system and our 24 hour on-call staff start investigating immediately and will contact the client to reassure them that they are aware of the issue and will be working to fix it. Our experienced team will then put in place our standard procedure for such eventualities and will try to organise for an alternative carer to attend the visit, so that no client has to be without care.
The Runway HomeCare team of Nurse Managers also carry out regular appraisals and reviews of training needs with all our HomeCare staff. During our staff reviews, we will assess our staff members performance, their interaction with our clients and their families and their training & development needs for the future.
Our Nurse Managers also carry out regular reviews and repeat assessments of all our clients. During the inital assessment, our HomeCare Managers will agree a review schedule with the client and their families. This ensures that Runway HomeCare always provide appropriate and person-centred care.
