How the Runway HomeCare Service Works

Step 1. In-Home Care Assessment

Upon the initial phone call,  one of our trained client team will gather some initial details about your needs, and outline the Runway HomeCare service.  With your agreement we will then make an appointment for one of our Nurse Managers to come and discuss your needs further.  We can arrange to meet in your own home or another location e.g. hospital/nursing home.

Step 2. Assessment

At this point and with your consent, we will carry out a full nursing assessment, gathering information about your health, your current condition, any issues that you have been having recently and concerns that you might have.  All of our assessments are carried out using best practice and using Internationally recognised models of care.  We will also complete a full risk assessment at this time.

Step 3. The Personalised Client Care Plan

Following the initial assessment a written, personalised care plan is developed that outlines specific services appropriate for the new client, complete with specific instructions. Our Nurse Manager will revisit you, and detail all aspects of the care plan.  We are happy to involve your family members or representatives in this process with your consent.  Once the personalised care plan has been agreed upon, the next step in the process can begin.

Step 4. Introducing Runway HomeCare Staff

Runway HomeCare will then select a carer most suited to a client based on skills needed for care, personality and availability. Before the HomeCare service begins, we will visit you in your home with the HomeCarer that will be working with you.  We will introduce you to the staff member, and detail the care plan to them, setting out any specific requested tasks and answering all questions.  At this stage we can begin to provide you with the HomeCare service as required.

Step 5. Monitoring Your Care

Runway HomeCare monitors and reviews the care that is being delivered to our clients on a consistent and ongoing basis.  We monitor each visit to your home from our Dublin office, using an advanced telephone based system.  We can respond to any issues efficiently and professionally, with our 24 hour emergency service providing you with reasssurance and security.  We also carry out regular reviews with all our staff members.  You can read more about our monitoring & review procedures by clicking here.
